About this event

What does it really take for young people to thrive? How can we create environments where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed?

Join University of Michigan faculty and community members for an engaging conversation exploring the support, opportunities, relationships, and sense of belonging young people need to succeed.

Hear from featured speakers Rebecca E. Hasson, Alaina Neal-Jackson, and Paul J. Fleming as they share their perspectives on how educators, families, and communities can better support young people and shape their futures. Attendees will have the opportunity to share perspectives, hear new ideas, and participate in meaningful discussions about creating stronger educational opportunities.

The event will also include food, refreshments, and a special attendee gift. All attendees will have the opportunity to nominate local schools, community organizations, and programs creating meaningful opportunities for students and young people for ED Talks Community Mini Grants.

This event is open to educators, families, students, community members, and anyone interested in education, youth development, and student success. Free transportation and on-site childcare options available.

This event is part of the University of Michigan's Life-Changing Education initiative. Learn more and register: http://myumi.ch/4xppD
