A Mosaic Within: A Discussion on Race, Colorism, and Self-Identity

About this event

Join us for a thoughtful conversation exploring how race, colorism, and personal experiences shape our sense of identity. Hear diverse perspectives from a panel of authors, community voices, and media professionals, and reflect on the experiences that make each of us a mosaic within.

Moderated by Vickie Thomas, former WWJ Radio news reporter and Senior Director of Communications for the City of Detroit, the panel features:

Randye Bullock, author and retired public relations executive

Alicia George, owner of Motor City Java House in Detroit

Elizabeth Atkins, CEO of Two Sisters Writing and Publishing

Joshua Landon, Fox 2 anchor and reporter

Presented by Redford Township District Library and the Redford Township Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission.
