- ➤ Southfield officials plan to cull about 200 deer this month in closed areas to reduce vehicle collisions and protect the herd. USDA sharpshooters will operate at night (using thermal imaging) while details remain undisclosed for safety reasons. Hometown Life
- ➤ The Michigan Land Conservancy is working to purchase 440 acres at Sibley Prairie in Brownstown Township to protect the last remaining original prairie tract from development (they need to raise $6M by year-end). FOX 2 Detroit

- ➤ Michigan families have reported claims denials and retroactive policy cancellations after car insurance providers enforced state law requiring every household member, including non-driving toddlers and infants, be listed. - ➤ Yesterday, Southfield Police and Fire Departments blocked traffic near Evergreen and 12 Mile roads after a downed wire was reported around 11:06 a.m. near Tim Hortons; DTE and the Department of Public Works said they were working to resolve the issue while the closure duration remained unknown.
