- ➤ Southfield resident and Oakland University senior Marcus Johnson received the Keeper of the Dream Scholarship on Jan. 19 at a ceremony recognizing his leadership and cultural advocacy. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Crews are repairing a sinkhole on the eastbound I-96 local lanes near Southfield Freeway, and drivers face lane and ramp closures until early March. Affected traffic must use detours via I-96 express lanes or Southfield Freeway while M-39 ramp access remains altered. FOX 2 Detroit
- ➤ Crews are set to begin repairs today at the I-96 and M39 intersection to fix a large sinkhole, with the work expected to last about a month+ local drivers should plan for traffic adjustments. FOX 2 Detroit
