- ➤ The Archdiocese of Detroit is restructuring its 209 parishes amid declining attendance and a 40% drop in priest numbers over the next five years (over 200 priests met Tuesday to plan new assignments). - ➤ A Michigan mother testified before the State Senate Committee on Insurance, Finance and Consumer Protection in support of the SAFE Act and Kids Code Act, which would block social media firms from targeting those under 16 after her 12-year-old daughter died from mental health struggles. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Officials found low levels of Legionella in two buildings (the school building and Building D) at Oakland County Children's Village in Pontiac, following tests returned on March 4. Facilities management has begun installing filters, flushing water systems, and planning follow-up tests per federal guidelines with no Legionnaires’ cases reported. The Detroit News
