Good morning, Southfield.

Ford Motor Company is showing a select group nearly 175 preserved vehicles at its Michigan headquarters.

About 50 of these Heritage Fleet vehicles are on display now for employees and media and will be open for viewing during Bring Your Child to Work Day next month—each vehicle is used to support Ford’s engineers and product developers.

Southfield man Cameron Scott, 19, was arrested after a high-speed chase through Berkley and Oak Park when he allegedly tossed a loaded handgun from his car, and he now faces charges of fleeing and eluding, driving on a suspended license, and carrying a concealed weapon—he is barred from Berkley and Royal Oak and not allowed to drive pending court proceedings.

Michigan officials will sound tornado sirens at 1 p.m. on March 19 during Severe Weather Awareness Week to remind residents to prepare with a clear safety plan for spring storms – they advise everyone to listen for updates and find shelter when a tornado warning sounds.

AAA is offering its Tow To Go service for safe rides and vehicle towing up to 10 miles during St. Patrick's Day weekend—available from 6 p.m. on March 14 until 6 a.m. on March 18 in Southfield if no other ride is available.
