A regional deer cull program removed 70 deer in Oakland County and donated over 2,300 lbs of venison to food banks (providing more than 9,240 meals) in Southfield, Farmington, and Farmington Hills.

The effort aims to reduce collisions and manage wild deer on suburban lands.

U.S. gas prices rose above $4 a gallon Tuesday, reaching levels not seen since August 2022, and Southfield drivers may soon feel higher pump prices as global tensions push up fuel costs.
