- ➤ An Oak Park man, Terrell Simms, 39, was charged on Thursday in Ferndale for fatally shooting DoorDash driver Mamadou Diallo on March 9th—police said the deadly act occurred during a road rage incident when a speeding truck nearly hit Diallo’s car—and he now faces charges including second‑degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon and firearm violations. - ➤ The Michigan Supreme Court ruled Thursday that murder convictions for 19- and 20-year-olds cannot automatically carry life without parole — the decision was based on research showing their brains are similar to those of teens and applies retroactively to over 580 offenders now serving the sentence.
