ECONOMY NEWS

  • On Sunday, diesel fuel prices across Michigan topped a record $6.01 per gallon (analysts cite supply issues and refinery outages) which may drive higher costs for construction, farming, and trucking that could affect Southfield residents.  The Detroit News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • I-696 westbound exit to Lahser Road, M-10 and US-24 will be closed from 9 a.m. Monday for several months as part of MDOT's Restore the Reuther project, forcing drivers to use alternate routes (only M-1 Woodward Avenue and Southfield Road remain open).  WXYZ

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Detroit Pistons earned their first playoff series win in 18 years with a 116+94 Game 7 victory at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday as Cade Cunningham and Tobias Harris led the effort; they will face either Cleveland or Toronto in the Eastern Conference semifinal starting Tuesday.  CBS News Detroit
