  • Southfield police said a driver crashed into an apartment building on the 18000 block of W. 12 Mile Road after shots were fired near the pool area of the complex, and investigators found shell casings and bullet holes—no one was shot and the investigation is ongoing.  CBS News Detroit

  • Southfield will receive $1,094,801 from SEMCOG to improve a nearly mile-long bike and pedestrian corridor on Nine Mile Road scheduled for work in 2026 — city officials confirmed the project is part of over $10 million in regional infrastructure funds.   • Easterseals MORC’s Miracle League kicked off its 2025 baseball season on June 7 at Southfield Civic Center’s Miracle Field—over 550 players with cognitive and physical disabilities played in games held on multiple days.
