- ➤ A Dearborn man, Fareed George Hajjar, 57, was charged with prostitution/transport and facilitating travel for human trafficking after he allegedly transported Suzan Ferreira, a 42-year-old Brazilian woman reported missing on June 24 and found dead six days later in a South Lyon field — prosecutors scheduled a probable cause conference for July 16. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, the Natural Resource Commission will discuss Michigan's sharp decline in lake whitefish, which have dropped from 6 million to less than half a million pounds since 1995 due to invasive mussels + disruptions in their food web.
