- ➤ Southfield police are investigating a shooting at Simms Park Thursday night when they found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound around 9:30 p.m. who was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive — a suspect described as a Black male wearing all black and latex gloves was seen fleeing the scene — and anyone with information is asked to call police.
