  • Southfield police said Randolph Lewis, a 33-year-old Texas man accused of running a trafficking operation involving 10 victims (some as young as 17), repeatedly slammed his head into a glass wall on July 24 and collapsed, and he was hospitalized for his injuries.  Click on Detroit

  • A traveler from Romania was stopped at Detroit Metro Airport after customs found a five‐pound bag of cherries infested with maggots and pupae of the European cherry fruit fly—an insect that could severely harm cherry orchards in Wisconsin. U.S. Customs and USDA confirmed the discovery and warned that increased pesticide use may be needed to protect local crops.  FOX 2 Detroit
