- ➤ Three Oakland County law enforcement agencies plan to form an independent authority to modernize the Courts and Law Enforcement Information System—this effort will require $10 million in startup funds and charge local governments $500 per officer for ongoing costs. The county commissioners' finance committee approved a resolution on Wednesday, though one commissioner raised privacy concerns about the plan. The Detroit News
