- ➤ Crews have shut off six of the seven valves needed to isolate a 42-inch water main break in Oakland County and are working to close the last valve—repair plans will reroute water later. Hundreds remain without water until the work is completed. FOX 2 Detroit
- ➤ On September 25, Michigan lawmakers reached an agreement to pass a balanced state budget before the October 1 deadline—this deal allocates nearly $2 billion a year for road repairs and cost-saving measures endorsed by Gov. Whitmer. CBS News Detroit

- ➤ Barkside will open its second location in Southfield on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Greenfield and 11 Mile roads, offering an indoor, climate-controlled dog park and a full bar for pet owners (with drinks made in Michigan). Click on Detroit
