- ➤ Southfield will hold its official ribbon cutting for its first dog park at Lahser Woods Park Saturday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m.—the park features a 1.5-acre area for large dogs and a 1.3-acre area for small pups, is funded by a $100,000 Oakland County Parks grant, and is initially open to residents only. - ➤ Stellantis announced a $13 billion plan to boost U.S. auto production and add 5,000 jobs, with a $100 million upgrade at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant and a $130 million upgrade at the Detroit Assembly Complex — to produce a new Dodge Durango in 2029 — that autoworkers say will help strengthen local manufacturing.
