- ➤ Dana Inc. in Auburn Hills closed its manufacturing facility today because a drop in electric vehicle orders forced the company to let go of over 100 workers—leaving many families to face sudden financial hardship. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Michigan residents can look up to see three active meteor showers — the Orionids (peaking Oct. 22-23), Southern Taurids (peaking Nov. 3-4), and Northern Taurids (peaking Nov. 8-9) — lighting up the sky until early November. Two comets, SWAN and Lemmon, will come close on Oct. 21 and can be seen with binoculars about 45 minutes after sunset from the west and south. Hometown Life

- ➤ Metro Detroit attorney Huwaida Arraf returned home yesterday at Detroit Metro Airport after a five-day detention by Israeli forces during a humanitarian mission to Gaza & was welcomed by supporters. - ➤ Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch was suspended for one game after his altercation with Chiefs receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster — he will miss Monday's game against the Buccaneers as his appeal was denied on Wednesday. CBS News Detroit
- ➤ The Lions lost to Kansas City and will play the reigning NFC-leading Buccaneers on Monday night at home + Coach Dan Campbell said the team must fix issues on both offense and defense to avoid back-to-back losses.
