  • GM announced that it would remove Car Play from its gas-powered vehicles and cut white collar jobs in Michigan as tariffs on Canadian imports increased. The company said it plans to use its own infotainment systems to lower costs (further details are pending).  FOX 2 Detroit

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Detroit Institute of Arts has unveiled a reimagined four-room African American art gallery and opened a Contemporary Anishinaabe Art exhibit, showcasing historical and modern works—paintings, sculptures, and interactive installations at its Woodward Avenue location—while admission remains free for nearby residents with proper ID.  MLive

  • The regular season ended and local high school teams from areas like Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Canton, and Farmington earned Round 1 playoff spots — matchups include Hartland at Detroit Catholic Central in Division 1 and South Lyon East at South Lyon in Division 2 — as fans prepare to see their schools compete in the coming games.  Hometown Life
  • Detroit Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff said yesterday that NBA players and coaches must be very careful about discussing game details that could be used for gambling.
