- ➤ Due to the continuing federal government shutdown, air traffic controllers and TSA officers are working without pay as delays mount at major airports across the region, which may affect Thanksgiving travel plans for Michiganders. Travelers can check flight status online at Detroit Metro and other local airports and use the TSA app to view real-time security wait times—helping them plan trips during the disruption. - ➤ A gym for children with special needs will open this weekend in Clawson at 1255 W. 14 Mile Rd.—the facility has 12 pieces of therapeutic equipment to help with sensory challenges.
