- ➤ The Oakland County Sheriff's Office launched its 38th annual Coats for the Cold drive to collect thousands of new or gently used, clean coats through November for local agencies such as the Oakland Schools Student Homeless Population that needs 750 coats. Donors must drop off coats at designated sites before the month ends—continuing an effort that has gathered over 210,000 coats in past years. WXYZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ MDOT closed seven ramps on I-696 westbound at 8 p.m. Friday as part of the $275 million Restore The Reuther project—at 4 a.m. today, both northbound and southbound I-75 ramps to I-696 were shut until Lahser, causing stress for drivers and local businesses.
