➤ On Dec. 20, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Sigma Delta Lambda Chapter and Meijer will host the annual How the Alphas Gave Christmas initiative at 28800 Telegraph Road. The chapter will distribute $5,000 in gift cards on a first-come basis from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Southfield Sun
➤ Wrapped in Love, a program by the National Council of Jewish Women, supplies local children with warm fleece blankets and marks its 20th year in Southfield. Volunteers make about 600 blankets every Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at their office (26400 Lahser Road, Suite 306) and welcome new helpers. Southfield Sun
