If you've been waiting on word about Jack Campbell, here it is. In a statement Wednesday, the Lions linebacker said he has full movement in his lower body and is "continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body." He added, "I know there's still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic." He hurt his neck against the Vikings on Sunday, and WLNS reports he was taken off the field on a backboard.
Coach Dan Campbell said hearing it from Jack himself "means a lot", and that his status is changing "every eight hours, 10 hours in a good way." On how to honor Jack this week, the coach said the team has to be "locked in and ready to go".
