- ➤ Oakland County officials announced a new dog license program in partnership with DocuPet that adds an ID tag and gives pet owners 24/7 lost-pet recovery service (announced Monday, Dec. 22). The updated system streamlines in-person, online, and mail registrations without changing the license cost, helping shelter staff focus on animal care. The Detroit News

- ➤ The Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills is offering free general admission until Jan. 2 to encourage reflection, learning and community engagement during the holiday season. Visitors will explore a redesigned exhibit that features personal survivor stories. The Detroit News
